Server - 19 Years of Age and Up
Responsibilities:
The Server is responsible for customer satisfaction with a goal of each customer returning many more times. Complete customer satisfaction is what we strive for and is your single most important function. It takes priority over all other daily duties. Therefore, whenever you can be of any help to a customer, be sure to offer assistance in any way you can. This includes: Graciously greet your customers as you approach the table. Make them feel welcome. Take your customer's order in a friendly, prompt and accurate manner. Insure food is served in a proper and timely fashion to the satisfaction of each customer. Participate in team work as time and opportunities allow. Be in proper uniform and proper frame of mind to successfully wait on customers.
Job Duties:
Wait on customers using proper service steps. Convey a positive attitude by smiling, being upbeat and knowledgeable as well as helpful and customer oriented through an eager-to-please attitude. Menu and store knowledge is key to good service. You must know your menu items and daily specials well to explain any item at any time, as well as make suggestions and suggestively sell. Only serve foods that you're proud of. If there's a problem with an item, get with the Manager on Duty immediately. Stay in and around your station at all times so customers can get your attention. Check for customer satisfaction after your customers have had a chance to try their food. Complete side work as time allows but not at the expense of customer service. Continually beverage and pre-bus your tables to maintain customer satisfaction. Help in other areas such as seating, cashing out customers, pre-bussing and beveraging in other stations as time allows. Teamwork is important in a successful restaurant. Keep your station and dining room clean and welcoming in appearance. Prompt and proper bussing and 3-towel method of table cleaning, carpet cleaning and stocking of side stations. As customers leave the restaurant be sure to thank them for coming and invite them back with a warm goodbye. Other duties as assigned.
