I. Job
Summary: The Bindery Operator must be able to set up and operate Perfect Binder and/ or Saddle Stitcher. Must also posses proven leadership, administrative, and people skills
II. Reports to: Plant Manager
III. Production
Responsibilities:
A. Machine set up and operation:
1. Set up and fine tuning of pockets to insure minimal drops and stops during operation
2. Set and monitor machine calipers to insure quality of finished product
3. Set up, adjust and repair stitcher heads as needed for smooth and trouble free operation
4. Change and adjust trimmer knives
5. Inspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacement
B. Constantly monitor quality of finished product
C. Be responsible for general maintenance and lubrication of machine
D. Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area
E. Be thoroughly familiar with all areas of job finishing sheet
F. Follows all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, Chemical Hazards, etc. Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.

Responsibilities:
A. Maintain production charts and records
B. Train new employees
V. Management of Personnel
Responsibilities:
A. Give direction to machine crew through production and down time
B. Provide leadership as required
C. Provide input to supervisor for evaluations

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
