Apply today! Requirements The Direct Support Professional at The Society will provide assistance and guidance in the following areas:
Cooking, including but not limited to creating a shopping list, storage and inventory of food and dietary supply items, food prep, following a menu, and cleanup.
Laundry, including but not limited to, inventory of clothing, washing, drying, folding, ironing and storing.
Using durable medical equipment.
Cleaning, including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all areas of the home including bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry room, outdoor spaces, basement, garages and vehicles.
Personal care, including but not limited to eating, bathing/showering or grooming such as shaving, hair care, nail care and toileting.
Provide transportation for individuals as needed using The Society vehicles and/or personal vehicle if applicable.
Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Duties may vary with caseload or shift assignment.
May qualify for student loan forgiveness through the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
