POSITION
Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will play a key role in day-to-day operations and is responsible for tracking and receiving incoming shipments, raw material inventory and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) items, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to be a self-starter, desire to continually learn and expand within the company and motivation to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
The position is located at our Ashland, Ohio manufacturing facility.
Essential Functions Statement(s) Receive incoming deliveries and put into inventory.
Inspect and receive MRO deliveries into ERP system.
Help identify and correct any inventory discrepancies.
Package and ship returns, maintenance parts for repair.
Monitor scheduled shipments and communicate with MRO buyers as needed.
Prepare Bill of Ladings for customer shipments.
Professional interaction with all customers and vendors.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):
Required
Experience:
3 plus years of data entry experience.
2 plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills:
Detailed knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Outlook.
JD Edwards a plus.
Receive incoming deliveries and put into inventory.
Inspect and receive MRO deliveries into ERP system.
Help identify and correct any inventory discrepancies.
Package and ship returns, maintenance parts for repair.
Monitor scheduled shipments and communicate with MRO buyers as needed.
